Recipe: chorizo and potato croquettes - a savoury snack for your taste buds

Try this simple and delicious recipe combining creamy potatoes and spicy chorizo. Ideal as a party snack or delicious dinner side dish!

Preparation

  1. Prepare the potatoes: boil the potatoes, mash until smooth and chill.
  2. Fry chorizo and onion: Fry the onion in a pan until golden brown, add the chorizo and fry for a few minutes.
  3. Mix the mixture: mix the potatoes, chorizo with onion, grated cheese (if using), add the egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Shape the croquettes: form small balls or oval-shaped croquettes.
  5. Bread and fry: Roll the croquettes in breadcrumbs and fry in heated oil until golden brown.
  6. Drain excess oil: place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Presentation

Serve hot with your choice of sauce – garlic mayonnaise, spicy tomato sauce or simply fresh herbs.

50 g grated cheese of your choice – for example Manchego or hard cheese
