Montilla-Moriles wines
Production in the Montilla-Moriles region is unique thanks to the climate and soil of southern Spain, which are ideal for the Pedro Ximénez grape variety. This variety, which is the basis of the local wines, is grown in porous limestone soil, which gives the wines a particular mineral flavour. The grapes are air-dried, which produces rich, liquor-like wines containing more than 15% alcohol, without the addition of alcohol.
Montilla-Moriles wines are aged in traditional earthenware and oak barrels in old cellars, where the yeast film ‘flor’ forms. This gives the wine a dense and full-bodied flavour with fruity notes. OMC & CO is proud to supply these unique wines to the Baltic region, offering connoisseurs a rich history and outstanding Montilla-Moriles quality.
